FR-Ágil / FITEC 2019

In every being there are two faces considered opposite: strength and fragility. The first traditionally linked to the masculine and the second to the feminine. The first positive, coveted and displayed. The second negative, hidden and limiting. The human being conceives the world in a binary way. Therefore a society that conceives strength as positive and essential, classifies fragility as negative and inessential. However, no individual acknowledges inessentially spontaneously. Therefore, we fled frantically from our fragility. We build rampant identity, without faults or cracks.

This research work aims to explore the full range of possibilities that are among the binary realities that are offered to us in society. This work is a process of identity tear. It is a purpose of tearing off the breastplate and assuming each moment, in the coexistence of opposites, in the constant imbalance between elections. It is a piece to show the beauty of leaving the identity changing and husked. A choreography in defense of fragility as a necessary state to open up to the other. Vulnerability as a key to think together, to declare oneself not self-sufficient for the beginning of a collective work, a listening space. The bodies of these two women on the scene, they are related to each other, they are broken, they are unknown, they are discovered, until they understand that they are needed. A search for who and what is fragile.
