Tribute 5th Centenary First Terrestrial Circumnavigation
This year 2019 marks the 500th anniversary of the beginning of one of the most important events for humanity: The beginning of the trip that would go around the world for the first time in history. Funded by the Spanish Crown and captained by Fernando de Magallanes, and under the command of Juan Sebastián Elcano on his return, he completed the first circumnavigation of the Earth in history.
To commemorate this fact, the traditional Art-FITEC Market, becomes a splendid Renaissance Market that moves the pedestrians and spectators of the FITEC to the time of Juan Sebastián Elcano and Fernando de Magallanes, and of so many anonymous heroes who participated in this deed.

Traditionally, a space dedicated FITEC artisans creators of itinerant life, are small companies, freelancers, artists… and it is in places like the Festival, where they generate their economy. The Art-FITEC is colorful frame the streets of our city an interesting meeting of artisans and creators of illusions, a different show of shapes, textures and curiosities. We marvel increasingly showing us their work and their mastery of raw materials, which it is impossible for us to think. In addition to mingle Hostelry and Food stops that will frame this market making “A Feast of the Senses”.

Tribute to Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare on the 5th Centenary of their death
Cervantina and Shakespearean Animation. It is the essential ingredient of Tematic Market that this edition is dedicated Art-FITEC. The animation will be held throughout the three days. The interventions will be developed between the public as Passacaglia and also incorporating characters that can be recognized as coming out of Cervantes’ novel. The music will also be an important point of the atmosphere, will fill the space with surround sounds with instruments from other eras.
While performing all these activities the actors seek the complicity of the audience and craftsmen, are the other “active” part of the show. Acts of the time, moments of everyday life that will transport the audience to a past, in a fun and fantasy proposed by the ingenious Don Miguel and the famous William.
